God's Little Creations

About a month ago, I decided to learn about photography. In the process, I made the decision to retire my trusty Cannon Point and Shoot and upgrade to a SLR. After hours of research and countless conversations, I took one last picture with ole faithful and purchased my first SLR digital camera. I still have no clue how to use this “complex” gadget; but each afternoon I go straight home, change into my play clothes and practice my new hobby. If only my mom were waiting for me with an afternoon snack!

I wanted to share a few of my practice shots from yesterday afternoon (fellow cameramen go easy on me). After such a harsh winter, these beautiful crisp flowers are starting to bloom signaling the first sign of new life in our yard. I find these pictures so appropriate as we continue to celebrate Holy Week.

"In his great mercy, he (God the Father) has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ "
1 Peter 1:3, NIV

Wow - those are awesome! You are getting good. Maybe you can teach me once you figure it all out... =)

Great pics Al! What kind of camera did you get? I'm on the lookout for a fancy camera! The little Olympus just isn't cutting it any more!
