Going Once, Going Twice, SOLD!

Yep, we finally sold our house!

Although we closed two weeks ago, I wanted to give you one final tour of our refurbished bungalow!

  

 

I hope the new owner enjoys this home as much as we did!

Once upon a time,

this was my kitchen.

It wasn't pretty.  And looking at it made me sad. 

So one day, I bought some pretty fabric as inspiration and convinced J to give this dreary-yellow room a LITTLE face lift.


Four months, gallons among gallons of paint and a few sewing disasters later, TAA-DA!

To say the least, I am very pleased with the results!

And on the 29th day, there was paint!

Yesterday, I came home to a little surprise!  When I left for work, my kitchen looked like this (granted it didn't look exactly like this when i left, but I have elected to use my literary license).........

When I returned, it looked like this........

which ultimately gets me one step closer to this..........

And on the 27th day,.....

there were walls (sianara nasty 2x4's) and floors!

Scavenger Hunt

The last weekend I was in Birmingham, mom and I did some bargain shopping in hopes of finding new accessories to furnish J and my soon-to-be-completed rooms!  I would just like to say that I am very pleased with our results!  Below you will find a review of the weekend purchases. 

1) A painting for the laundry room - grand total of $19.99

2) A new side chair for the study - grand total $ 129.00

3) Fabric and lining for kitchen curtains (and a few accent pillows in mudroom) - grand total of $36.00

4) Fabric for study curtains - grand total $19.99

Total damage .... $205! Now if only I could locate my sewing machine.......
